Even though Windscape at Shelburne Farms is wool and wood based site-responsive installation, there were plenty of other materials and sculptural forms explored in the large Breeding Barn studio during this summer's residency. Each piece informed the other sculptures and all were worked on simultaneously. Here is a little image diary.

This hay sculpture was made to learn about bringing the field up off the ground and sailing away

These cob sculptures where used to help visualize the layout of Windscape. The earth and manure based forms are the exact opposite of what sail is. they are earth bound, heavy, clunky.
